Additional Info

Habitat: Most typical of fields, clearings, roadsides, and other open, disturbed habitats; also in most natural habitats such as alluvial swamps, depression swamps and ponds, seasonally exposed river shores and bars, and moist to dry woodlands. Common in the coastal Plain and piedmont and at low elevations in the mountains.

Wildlife: Deer will graze beaked panicgrass. The seed are eaten by upland birds and some waterfowl
