Astragalus canadensis var. canadensis

Dry to occasionally mesic, open forests, rocky woodlands, river bluffs in the piedmont, and shell-marl ravines in the coastal Plain; usually on calcareous substrates and most frequent in limestone districts of the mountains. Infrequent in the mountains; rare elsewhere.
